Centenarian casts vote at polling station in Kirkuk

KIRKUK, December 18 — A 111-year-old man cast his ballot for the provincial council elections in Kirkuk on Monday as officials called on citizens across the country to head to the polls.

Born in 1912, Bahadin Abdul Razzaq headed to a polling station inside Kirkuk city where he captivated onlookers by reciting a national poem.

A total of 254 candidates, including 67 women, are competing for 16 seats in Kirkuk governorate.
