Fingerprint recognition has become a problem for certain security forces personnel in Tuz Khurmatu

Tuz Khurmatu, December 16– In Tuz Khurmatu, the provincial council elections face delays as some security forces members encounter issues with fingerprint recognition on the voting machines, leading to a slower process and significant crowds at the centers and bases.

Qasim Saadullah, the director of the commission’s registration center in Tuz Khurmatu, acknowledged the issue, assuring that “it is temporary and efforts are underway to resolve the problem, including the potential addition of alternative equipment to ensure an uninterrupted voting process for security forces personnel.”

Despite these efforts, 964 has learned that some security forces have left their bases due to the unresolved fingerprint recognition problem, complicating the electoral proceedings.
