GCC invited Iraq to participate in Gulf States Economic Forum

BAGHDAD, July 31 – The head of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) invited Iraq on Monday to participate in the Gulf States Economic Forum.

During a joint press conference with Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, in Baghdad, Jassim Mohammed Al-Badawi announced the forum would be held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates on September 27-28.

He further expressed hope that the forum would “serve as a cornerstone for building strong relations between Iraq and Gulf countries, as well as strengthen the relationship between the public and private sectors.
