Rain, thunderstorms expected in northern Iraq on Wednesday evening
BAGHDAD — Iraq will see partly cloudy skies Wednesday with northern areas turning cloudy by evening, bringing light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in western sections, the Meteorological Authority said.
Temperatures in central and northern regions will remain close to Tuesday’s levels, dipping slightly in the south. Northwesterly winds of 10–20 km/h will strengthen overnight in central areas to up to 45 km/h, raising dust and sand. Visibility will be 8–10 km, dropping to 4–6 km in dusty conditions.
Partly cloudy conditions will continue Thursday and Friday in central and southern regions, with scattered rain in the north. Temperatures will remain stable before rising slightly nationwide on Saturday and Sunday.
