Thunderstorms to spread across Iraq on Saturday with possible hail and dust
BAGHDAD — Iraq will see partly cloudy skies turning stormy on Saturday, with thundershowers beginning in western areas in the morning and spreading across most of the country through the day, the General Authority for Meteorology said.
Some areas may see heavier rainfall and there is a chance of light hail in limited locations. Temperatures will rise slightly in central and southern regions and dip slightly in the north, with mild mornings turning warm through the day. Southeasterly winds will reach 20 to 30 km/h, gusting to 50 km/h in western areas and raising dust in desert regions. Visibility will range between eight and 10 kilometers, dropping to two to four in areas of heavy rain and dust.
