Rain and cooler temperatures return to northern Iraq from Monday

BAGHDAD — Northern Iraq will see light to moderate rainfall Monday while central and southern regions remain mostly clear, the General Authority for Meteorology said Sunday, with temperatures dropping slightly in the centre and rising in the south before a broader warming trend later in the week.

Tuesday will be clear across the country with maximum temperatures ranging from 13°C in Duhok to 31°C in Basra, Maysan and Dhi Qar. Wednesday will bring partly to fully cloudy skies in central and northern regions with clear to partly cloudy conditions in the south and a slight temperature rise. Thursday will be cloudy nationwide during the day before clearing in central and southern areas, with temperatures remaining stable.
