Imam Hussein Shrine sends second relief convoy to Iran
KARBALA — The Imam Hussein Shrine dispatched its second relief convoy to Iran on Saturday, carrying 23 ambulances, 16 trucks of medical equipment and 8 trucks of heavy machinery for debris removal, as Iran’s casualty toll from the regional war continues to rise.
Relief committee member Sabah al-Moussawi described the convoy as “a humanitarian gift” to the Iranian people, saying official authorities would receive and distribute the supplies to hospitals and health centers across the country.
Iran’s Ministry of Health has recorded at least 2,076 killed and more than 26,500 injured since the conflict began in late February. The convoy follows an earlier shipment dispatched by the Al-Abbas Shrine in Karbala, which sent 38 trucks carrying 690 tons of food and medical aid to Iran earlier this month.
