Nechirvan Barzani congratulates Sulaymaniyah on its 239th anniversary

SULAYMANIYAH, November 14 — In a message released by the Kurdistan Regional Government, President Nechirvan Barzani extended his warm congratulations to the residents of Sulaymaniyah on the occasion of the city’s 239th anniversary.

Barzani’s message, translated to English, said:

On the occasion of the 239th anniversary of the founding of the capital of Kurdish culture, the beloved city of Sulaymaniyah, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of the city of sacrifice. Sulaymaniyah has always been a vibrant city, playing a significant role in the struggle and sacrifices for the freedom of our people. I wish continuous prosperity and progress for Sulaymaniyah and all other cities in Kurdistan.
