Jurf al-Nasr struck by airstrikes for second time Saturday

BAGHDAD — The Jurf al-Nasr area north of Babil was struck by two airstrikes at 7:25 p.m. Saturday, Iraq’s Joint Operations Command said, the second time the area has been hit in a single day.

“The relevant authorities are closely monitoring the situation to take the necessary measures,” the command said, adding that further details would follow.

Earlier Saturday, strikes on the same area killed two people and wounded three. The site, also known as Jurf al-Sakher, hosts PMF positions including factions such as Kataib Hezbollah.
