Visitors enjoy affordable retreats in western Tuwaitha

Overlooking the Tigris River and nearby palm groves, the moderate weather has helped turn the area into a destination for Baghdadi families. They head to the district’s holiday cabins for their affordable prices and proximity to the capital, especially for residents of the eastern neighborhoods.
Zayn Al-Din, a visitor, shared with 964, “We chose the Jisr Diyala area [0f Tuwaitha] because of its proximity to our home. We came from Basmaya to enjoy and spend time with friends. The advantages of this place are the reasonable prices and the cool atmosphere, especially at night.”
Abu Ali, a cabin employee, said, “Prices vary depending on the day and time. On Thursdays and Fridays, the price from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. is 200,000 Iraqi dinars, and from 4 pm until the morning, it’s 200,000 dinars. On the rest of the weekdays, the price for one shift is 150,000 dinars. We provide photo sessions and special areas for newlyweds and birthday parties.”
