Cloud cover and scattered rain expected in Iraq today

BAGHDAD — Iraq is expected to experience variable weather conditions today, with partly to fully cloudy skies and a chance of light rainfall in parts of the central region, according to a report from the Meteorological Authority.

In northern areas, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is forecast in several locations.

Temperatures are expected to remain close to those recorded yesterday in central and northern regions, with a slight increase in some areas. Southern regions will see a limited rise in temperatures.

Winds will be southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, ranging from 10 to 20 km/h. Calm periods and fluctuations are expected in some parts of the central and northern regions.

Horizontal visibility is expected to range from 8 to 10 kilometers generally, but may drop to between 4 and 6 kilometers in the morning due to haze and increased pollutant concentrations.
