Clear skies and slight temperature rise forecast across Iraq

BAGHDAD — Iraq’s Meteorological Organization and Seismology Department said Monday that most regions will experience clear to partly cloudy skies with a slight rise in temperatures compared to Sunday.

The agency said a surface high-pressure system extending from eastern Europe, accompanied by moderate upper-air currents, will bring stable daytime weather and relatively cold conditions during morning and nighttime hours, particularly in mountain areas.

“The weather will be clear with some clouds appearing intermittently, turning partly cloudy in the central and northern regions during the day and evening, while southern and eastern areas will remain clear to slightly cloudy,” the report said.

Temperatures are expected to increase slightly, with mornings and nights remaining cool, especially over highlands. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, ranging from 10 to 20 kilometers per hour, occasionally calm or variable in northeastern and western regions.

Horizontal visibility will range between 8 and 10 kilometers across most areas, according to the agency.
