Temperatures drop across Iraq as scattered clouds move in

BAGHDAD — Iraq is expected to experience partly clear weather on Monday, with scattered clouds appearing intermittently over central and northern regions, according to a report from Iraq’s Meteorological Authority.

The forecast indicates a possibility of partial cloudiness and light showers overnight in areas of Duhok and northern Nineveh.

Temperatures are projected to drop by a few degrees compared to the previous day, creating cooler conditions during the early morning and night, while remaining more moderate during the daytime.

Mountainous areas in the Kurdistan Region will continue to experience cold weather.

Winds are expected to blow from the northwest at moderate speeds of 10-20 km/h, becoming calm overnight in several parts of the central and southern regions.

Horizontal visibility will range from 8-10 km but may decrease to 5-7 km in the morning due to haze and air pollutants, with improvement expected later in the day.
