Elderly man found dead in vehicle near Peshraw Tunnel

SULAYMANIYAH — A man was found dead inside his vehicle near Peshraw Tunnel in Sulaymaniyah on Sunday night, local health officials said.

Saman Nader, director of the Sulaymaniyah Emergency Center, told 964media that “a man passed away inside his car before reaching Peshraw Tunnel.” He said emergency teams arrived at the scene and conducted an initial examination, adding the man was elderly and “is suspected to have suffered a heart attack.”

The body was transferred to Sulaymaniyah Forensic Medicine Hospital for further investigation. A health source said the man, born in 1953, had been driving an SUV.
