SULAYMANIYAH — A cement mixer overturned onto two cars in Sulaymaniyah on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring two others, local officials said.
Saman Nader, head of Sulaymaniyah emergency services, told 964media the accident occurred near the bridge in front of Bakhtiari Park. “A cement mixer overturned onto two cars. As a result, a Peshmerga lost his life and two civilians were injured,” he said.
The mixer crashed onto a white sedan carrying two passengers and a Sunny vehicle. “The driver of the sedan died while the passenger was injured, and the driver of the Sunny was also injured,” Nader said.
He added that the injured were transferred to Sulaymaniyah General Hospital for treatment.
