Over 120 people hospitalized after food poisoning in Duhok restaurant

DUHOK — More than 120 people were taken to Duhok Emergency Hospital after suffering food poisoning from a local restaurant, health officials said Tuesday.

Matin Jamil, spokesperson for the Duhok Health Directorate, told 964media that some of those hospitalized have since received treatment and returned home, while others remain under medical care.

On Monday, a joint committee from the Duhok district administration and health inspection teams ordered the closure of the restaurant, located in the city center.
