Hot conditions continue across Iraq despite slight dip in temperatures

BAGHDAD– Iraq is experiencing hot to very hot summer weather across all regions, according to a Monday report from the Iraqi Meteorological Authority.

The report indicated mostly clear skies nationwide, with scattered clouds appearing in southern and western parts of the country.

Temperatures are similar to the previous day, with slight decreases of 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in some areas.

Winds are moderate northwesterly, ranging between 20 to 30 km/h. They are expected to intensify during the day in the western parts, causing dust and sand disturbances.

Horizontal visibility is generally between 8 and 10 kilometers but may drop to between 2 and 4 kilometers in areas affected by dust during daylight hours.
