Al-Sudani, Qatari ambassador discuss regional de-escalation and Gaza crisis
BAGHDAD — Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani met Thursday with Qatar’s Ambassador to Iraq, Sultan bin Mubarak Al-Kubaisi, to discuss regional developments and the crisis in Gaza, according to a statement from the prime minister’s media office.
Both sides stressed the need to maintain the ceasefire and return to negotiations as a peaceful path to resolving the conflict, preserving regional stability, and preventing the expansion of violence, the statement said.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Thursday, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Iraq, Mr. Sultan bin Mubarak Al-Kubaisi.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the region, with both sides emphasizing the importance of upholding the ceasefire and returning to the path of negotiation to resolve the crisis through peaceful means, preserving regional stability and preventing the expansion of the conflict.
The meeting also addressed the situation in Gaza and the ongoing genocide being committed by the Zionist entity against its people. Both sides emphasized the importance of exerting all efforts to achieve an immediate cessation of the aggression and to allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
The meeting also highlighted the strength of bilateral relations and reaffirmed the mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation across various fields to advance joint development between the two countries.
