Major drug dealer apprehended in Maysan with a kilo of crystal meth

AMARAH, October 21 — Authorities from the Maysan Directorate of Drug Control arrested a notorious drug dealer known as Abish on Saturday, with a reported kilogram of methamphetamines in his possession.

The Ministry of Interior released a statement, in which it said:

Under the supervision of the Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, and in a special operation, the Directorate General of Drug Control successfully apprehended a key drug dealer, known as Abish, and seized one kilogram of the controlled substance crystal methamphetamine, after setting up a carefully-planned ambush in Al-Azair district within Maysan Governorate. Necessary legal actions have been taken against him in accordance with the provisions of Article 28, ensuring he receives a just punishment.
