Father and daughter killed in rollover crash near Penjwen
SULAYMANIYAH — A father and daughter were killed and two other family members injured Monday in a rollover crash on the Said Sadiq–Penjwen road near the village of Kachal, hospital officials said.
“The bodies of two people were brought to our hospital after the accident on the Said Sadiq-Penjwen road. One was a 52-year-old man, and the other was a 15-year-old girl. They were father and daughter,” said Aras Mohammed Ali, an administrator at Shaheed Shawkat General Hospital in Said Sadiq.
He said the man’s wife and son were also injured in the crash. “After receiving initial treatment, they were transferred to hospitals in Sulaymaniyah,” he said. “The bodies were also sent to the forensic department in Sulaymaniyah.”
According to data gathered by 964media, 23 traffic accidents were recorded in Sulaymaniyah governorate on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, resulting in three deaths.
