Young man fatally injured in commercial elevator fall

DHI QAR, October 12 — A young man tragically lost his life on Wednesday evening when the elevator he was inside malfunctioned and fell in a commercial complex in the Al-Shatra district, north of Nasiriyah.

A source in the Dhi Qar Police said, “A 21-year-old young man, while inside an elevator at a commercial complex in the Al-Shatra district, suffered fatal injuries when the elevator malfunctioned and fell.”

The police arrived at the scene, located in the Hawi Al-Abbas area, and initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the elevator’s fall.
