Arab League calls for meeting on events in Palestinian territories

BAGHDAD, October 10 — The Arab League on Tuesday called for a meeting this week to address events in the occupied Palestinian territories

According to a statement, the meeting will take place on Thursday, when delegates will discuss developments in the conflict that erupted on October 7 after Hamas fighters in Gaza breached a security wall and entered into Israel.

This meeting also comes as Israeli aircraft have launched their most intense aerial attack on the Gaza Strip in years. The death toll since the weekend has reached over 1,500 on both sides, with casualties expected to continue to rise.
