Thi-Qar boxing union organizes youth and junior championship

THI QAR, September 22 — The Thi-Qar Boxing Union organized a championship for youth and junior boxers on Friday, with participants from two teams.

The championship featured 48 players in the youth and junior categories, with weight classes ranging from 30 to 60 kg. The event took place under the slogan “Future Generations Championship.”

Adnan Abdul Awfi, the head of the local boxing union, told 964: “This championship is a friendly competition between the Popular Mobilization Forces and Thi-Qar teams. Its purpose is to attract and prepare youth age groups for future championships. The championship included junior and youth categories with 24 matches in total over five hours. We have prepared prizes for the top-performing players.”
