BAGHDAD, September 18 — The United States’ Ambassador in Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, expressed on Sunday her aspiration for the continuation of dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil to reach a more sustainable solution, in response to the Iraqi Cabinet’s decision to pay salaries of public-sector employees in the Kurdistan region.

We applaud efforts between @IraqiGovt & KRG to reach resolution on the budget & its implementation, such as today’s CoM decision to transfer payments over the coming months. We look forward to continued dialogue to reach a more lasting resolution in the interest of the Iraqis.
