BAGHDAD, September 18 — Iraq’s Intelligence Agency arrested a suspect on Monday who was in possession of 75 forged government seals, counterfeit official documents, counterfeit bonds, and various weapons, on the eastern side of Baghdad.
The agency released a statement, which read:
In accordance with the directives of the honorable Minister of Interior, and under the direct supervision of the Deputy Minister for Intelligence and Federal Investigations Affairs, which includes pursuing those who compromise citizens’ security, intelligence agency units specializing in counterterrorism within Baghdad’s Al-Rusafa district received information about an organized crime gang involved in forging official documents, trading in weapons and explosives.
