US company KBR offers to digitize Iraqi government reports
BAGHDAD – In a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani in Baghdad on Wednesday, US-based engineering and technology solutions company KBR expressed its readiness to assist Iraq in digitizing government reports, data storage, retrieval, and collaborating with the Iraq Development Fund to streamline reporting.
The meeting, attended by Minister of Planning Mohammed Ali Tamim, Minister of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities Bangin Rkeani, and several advisors, included a presentation on KBR’s work. Several strategic projects aimed at diversifying income sources and achieving economic development were referred to KBR for review.
KBR, contracted through the Ministry of Planning, provides consultancy on major government projects and supports the ministry in technical, economic, legal, and commercial tasks, project evaluation and feasibility studies, and implementation supervision. The company also offers assistance in attracting foreign investments, increasing public-private partnerships, and identifying financing options for major projects.
Operating in 40 countries, KBR offers diverse solutions across government services, hydrocarbons, technology, and infrastructure. Notable projects include support for the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA, as well as constructing ethylene and petrochemical plants, LNG terminals, and offshore oil platforms.
