Students prioritize comfort for long classes

University students flock to Ramadi markets for back-to-school shopping

ANBAR, September 13 — University students are converging on the markets in Ramadi to buy clothes ahead of the upcoming academic year. Students interviewed by 964 noted that extended months of classes require a variety of outfits, with loose and comfortable attire being essential for long lectures. Black and white clothing remains a favorite choice among them.

Ahmed Alaa, the owner of a shop, said that female students prefer buying long skirts with a sweater or dress for a formal look, along with sneakers that suit their needs. Professors and educational staff are also among shoppers, with black dresses, white shirts, black and gray trousers, and white sneakers being the top choices for women. White shirts, black, and blue trousers are the best-selling items for men.

The clothing available in stores is imported from Turkey, the United States, China, Lebanon, and Dubai, offering high-quality at reasonable prices.

Sara Ammar, a university student, explained the urgent need to buy new clothes and shoes for the long months of classes, emphasizing the importance of loose and comfortable attire that suits the extended time spent at the university. She also mentioned that prices have been continuously increasing compared to the previous year.
