Najaf restaurant celebrates employee’s educational achievement

NAJAF – Staff at Al-Aqd Restaurant in Najaf’s central Al-Amir neighborhood held a celebration for Muntazar, a 23-year-old employee, after he passed his ninth grade exams. The event featured flowers and cake, contributing to a celebratory atmosphere.

The celebration was initiated by Abbas Al-Baaj, a regular customer who was inspired by Muntazar’s perseverance. Muntazar, who had left school eight years earlier due to difficult living conditions, decided to return to his studies encouraged by friends and colleagues. The restaurant management supported his decision by allowing him time to study and reducing his workload.

Speaking with 964media, Muntazar said, “They allow me time to study and reduced my workload.” He expressed his determination to pursue a university degree.

Muntazar also offered advice to other young people: “Focus on your education and don’t let life’s difficulties hold you back.”
