Motorcycle theft gang arrested in Al-Muthana

MUTHANNA – The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday the arrest of a four-member gang specializing in motorcycle thefts in Al-Muthanna province’s Al-Rumaitha and Al-Samawa districts, following complaints from citizens.

Through the collection of information, evidence, and intelligence from various sources, the Criminal Investigation Division in Al-Rumaitha identified the suspects and their locations. A judicial order issued by the investigating judge led to the swift arrest of the suspects within 24 hours.

The suspects confessed to committing multiple motorcycle thefts of various types in the cities of Al-Samawa and Al-Rumaitha. They have been referred to competent judicial authorities under Article 446 of the Iraqi Penal Code.
