Sara Nadim to represent Iraq in Miss Eco International competition in Egypt

ERBIL — Sara Abdul Jalil Nadim will carry the Iraqi flag and showcase her mixed heritage at the Miss Eco International 2024 pageant in Egypt.

The competition will bring together delegates from around the world, and focuses on promoting both tourism and environmental awareness.

Nadim, 27 and from both Kurdish and Arab heritage, is no stranger to pageantry. In 2017, she was crowned Miss Erbil and achieved third runner-up at the Miss Iraq competition.

“I am happy and proud to be chosen to participate,” Nadim told 964media. “I will represent Iraq and Kurdistan in the best way possible.”

Nadim plans to wear a traditional Iraqi national dress and carry the flag with pride. “I want the world to see a developed and progressive Iraq,” she said.

The Miss Eco International pageant will be held in Egypt on April 28.
