Central Bank of Iraq reports currency sales of $266 million

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced on Tuesday its currency sales amounted to over $266 million in one-day transactions, according to the official exchange rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.

Data from the bank revealed that total domestic cash withdrawals amounted to $24,320,000 million, while the total amounts transferred abroad, including remittances and credits, reached nearly $242,594,040 million. Total sales for the day stood at more than $266,914,040 million.
