Fatal stabbing in Al-Muthanna with suspect on the run

AL-RUMAITHA, Al Muthanna — A 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed with a knife after a dispute over money in the Al ‘Abs area, a security source said Sunday.

The incident occurred near Abu Shirish road, involving a laborer known as “S.M.,” who was born in 1999 and lived in the Al-Rumaitha district. The disagreement over finances led to S.M.’s death at the hands of an individual identified as “M.J.,” by the source speaking to 964media.

Upon being notified, authorities found the victim’s body near the residence of the suspect, who had fled. Early investigations indicate the murder resulted from a monetary dispute.

Forensic evidence has been gathered, and the victim’s body has been sent for forensic analysis. The Al-Rumaitha Police Station has begun legal action following the incident.

Police are actively searching for the suspect, M.J., whose name has been shared with all checkpoints in and out of the area.
