Family dispute in Daquq results in father’s death
DAQUQ – In family dispute in Daquq district’s Abdullah Ghanim village ended fatally when the son used a Kalashnikov rifle to kill his father. The victim, identified as M.H., 54, of Abdullah Ghanim village, was pronounced dead at Daquq Hospital with three gunshot wounds, including a fatal shot to the heart.
Farman Nashat, director of Daquq Hospital, confirmed to 964media that the victim’s body exhibited three gunshot wounds upon examination.
The son, identified only as M.M., is a 15-year-old student who fled the scene following the shooting. Authorities have since initiated an investigation into the incident and are currently searching for the teenager.
The body has been transferred to the forensic medicine department in Kirkuk for further examination, while the victim’s family remains at the hospital.
