Airstrikes on Islamic State positions in Wadi Al-Shai

NEWSROOM – The Military Media Cell of Iraq announced yesterday an Iraqi F-16 fighter jet carried out an airstrike on an ISIS militant stronghold in the Wadi Al-Shai area of Kirkuk. The operation was informed by reliable intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and coordinated with the Joint Operations Command’s Targeting Cell, leading to the successful targeting of the ISIS position.

According to the Military Media Cell’s statement, “With precise intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate and in coordination with the Joint Operations Command’s Targeting Cell, an ISIS stronghold was completely destroyed.”

Further intelligence reports indicated that the airstrike resulted in the death of three ISIS militants. The reports confirmed that all individuals at the targeted site were eliminated, and all weapons and equipment at the location were destroyed.
