Iraq’s central bank reports over $212 million in foreign currency sales

BAGHDAD — The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) announced its foreign currency sales on Thursday had reached over $212 million in one-day transactions at the official rate of 1,310 dinars per U.S. dollar.

Bank data revealed that cash withdrawals amounted to $37.29 million, while the total for overseas transfers, including remittances and credits, stood at just over $175.2 million. Consequently, total sales for the day were calculated at  more than $212.5 million.
