10 tons of spoiled dried figs seized in Erbil

ERBIL — The market surveillance committee in Erbil has confiscated 10 tons of spoiled dried figs and arrested three individuals in relation to the incident.

Governor Nabaz Abdulhamid informed 964media that the arrested individuals hail from Syria, and investigations are underway to pinpoint the origin of the spoiled figs.

According to Abdulhamid, the expired figs were stored in a warehouse located in Erbil’s Hevalan neighborhood, which also served as accommodation for the three individuals now in custody.
