Unidentified militants attack Asa’ib Movement headquarters in Najaf

NAJAF — An unidentified group launched an attack on a building belonging to the Asa’ib Movement in the Hayy Al-Salam district of Najaf early Wednesday morning, according to a security source.

The attack targeting the movement, also known as Asa’ib Ahl Al-Haqq, involved two rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and caused material damage, but no casualties were reported. Police cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the attack.

“An assault with RPG-7 grenades targeted an Asa’ib Movement headquarters in Hayy Al-Salam, Najaf, in the early hours of Wednesday,” a security source, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed. “The attackers remain unknown, and while there were no casualties, material damage occurred. Police have secured the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
