45 unlicensed Raparin medical facilities closed in past year

RAPARIN — The Health Inspection and Follow-up Committee in Raparin has shut down 45 private health facilities, including dental clinics, in the past year for operating without proper licenses.

Taha Mohammed, a spokesperson for the Raparin Health Department, told 964media that the closures resulted from various infractions. Numerous facilities were caught selling medications beyond their licensed scope, including unauthorized drugs.

Notably, several dental clinics were closed for lacking the requisite medical certifications.

In 2023, Raparin’s health committee imposed fines on 73 private health centers and clinics, mainly for negligence and failure to adhere to health regulations.

Raparin Health Department data indicate that 231 facilities were warned last year and are currently under observation. Those that do not meet regulatory standards risk penalties, highlighting the department’s dedication to upholding health standards and ensuring the safety of medical practices in the area.
