National security advisor meets new Diwaniyah governor Abbas Al-Zamili

BAGHDAD — National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji met with Abbas Al-Zamili, the newly appointed governor of Diwaniyah, on Sunday to discuss enhancing cooperation and coordination between the governorate and the advisory office.

“The National Security Advisor, Mr. Qasim Al-Araji, received the Governor of Diwaniyah, Mr. Abbas Al-Zamli, in his office today, Sunday,” the statement began. “Mr. Al-Araji congratulated Mr. Al-Zamli on his new position as the Governor of Diwaniyah, wishing him and all the governors and provincial councils success and good luck in their new roles, to enhance the reality of the service in the provinces.”

The statement also highlighted that the meeting “witnessed an overview of the security and political situation in the country, in addition to discussing ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the National Security Advisor’s Office and the provinces in common aspects, especially in maintaining the security and stability of the cities and the cooperation of the citizens with the security agencies.”
