Session today on US attacks
Iraqi MP calls for colleagues to honor those killed in US strikes
BAGHDAD — On Saturday, Hassan Salem, a representative from the Al-Sadiqoun bloc, urged members of the Iraqi Parliament to attend today’s session, describing it as a ‘moral duty’ to honor those killed in the American bombing and to ‘uphold Iraq’s sovereignty.’
He said on X, formerly Twitter:
“Today’s session of the parliament is a tribute to the blood of the martyrs, steadfastness, and the preservation of Iraq’s sovereignty. Therefore, attending the session is a religious, national, and ethical duty. #Iraq_in_the_arms_of_the_honorable”
