Members take constitutional oath
New Anbar provincial council members from Taqadum and allies sworn in
ANBAR, February 5 — Newly-elected members of the Anbar provincial council were sworn in on Monday, taking their constitutional oath in a ceremony before an Anbar court of appeals judge.
The 11 new council members represent the Taqadum Party and its allied factions including the Qimam Alliance, Anbar Identity Alliance, and the National Taqadum Alliance.
This event preceded the provincial council’s opening session scheduled for later in the day.
Five other council members from different political alliances and blocs were sworn in during a previous session on January 28.
