Iranian national security adviser arrives in Baghdad for talks

BAGHDAD, February 5 — Iran’s top security advisor arrived in Baghdad early Monday for high-level meetings, a source confirmed to 964media.

Iranian National Security Advisor Ali Akbar Ahmadian was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa’ Al-Sudani and counterpart National Security Advisor Qassim Al-Araji for discussions on recent developments in Iraq and the broader region.

The source further revealed that Ahmadian’s trip would last just one day. This marks Ahmadian’s inaugural visit to Iraq since assuming his position in June, succeeding Ali Shamkhani.
