ERBIL, January 29 — Medical staff and other employees at the Shahid Sheray Naqib Hospital for Women and Delivery announced a strike on Sunday.
A source within the hospital, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told 964media, “Starting today, the hospital’s doctors and staff are on strike. Except for emergency cases, no other patients will be seen.”
The source indicated that the boycott is due to delayed salary payments, with only a few staff members remaining on duty to handle deliveries and extreme cases.
The hospital’s director, Banaz Jalil, declined a request for comment.
