Man killed in Harir motorcycle crash a third brother from one family to die in tragic circumstances
ERBIL — Sirin Osman Barsirini, died Tuesday in Harir, Erbil, after his motorcycle overturned, according to relatives. Another individual traveling with him was seriously injured.
Osman was active on social media and known in the Rawanduz and Balakayati area for his humor. His death marks the third time in nine years that the family has lost a son to separate accidents.
The family’s loss began in 2016 when Sirin’s brother, Sarbaz Osman, died in a traffic incident after a truck hit his motorcycle on the Hamilton Road.
In 2018, another brother, Jabar, drowned in the Balakayati River while rescuing an Arab tourist, managing to save the tourist before losing his own life.
With Sirin’s death, only one of the four brothers remains alive.
Muhsin Barsirini, Sirin’s uncle, told 964media, “Sirin was married and had two sons and a daughter. He worked as an electrician and repaired motorcycles.”
