Two drown after vehicle plunges into river in Karma
ANBAR — Two young men drowned Tuesday after their vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a small river in the Al-Sijr area east of Anbar, according to a security source. A third passenger was rescued by local residents and transferred to Karma Emergency Hospital, where his condition is now stable.
The source told 964media, “A Pajero vehicle lost control due to excessive speed in the Al-Sijr area and fell into the Karma River. The accident resulted in the drowning of two young men, while a third was saved with the help of residents and taken to the hospital.”
Residents also retrieved the bodies from the water and used a crane to remove the vehicle from the river. Security forces arrived at the scene and launched an investigation to determine whether the crash was accidental.
