Sulaymaniyah airport authorities arrest 37 for passport forgery

SULAYMANIYAH, October 11 — The Directorate of Residency at Sulaymaniyah International Airport announced on Tuesday that 37 individuals have been arrested since the beginning of the year on charges of forging travel documents to enter or exit Iraq.

Kardo Osman, spokesperson for the Directorate of Residency, told 964, “Since the beginning of the year until today, Tuesday, we have managed to apprehend 37 Iraqis and foreigners who attempted to enter or leave Sulaymaniyah using forged documents.”

“After confirming their identities, we handed the suspects over to the court and took legal action against them.”
