Sulaymaniyah hospital announces birth of triplets

SULAYMANIYAH, January 23 – A set of healthy newborn triplets are the newest residents of Sulaymaniyah. Their arrival was announced by the head of the city’s Maternity Teaching Hospital.

Shler Fayeq, director of the hospital, told 964media the new baby girls and their mother were in stable condition after undergoing a cesarean delivery to ensure a safe birth.

According to data from Sulaymaniyah’s health directorate, a total of 24,950 births were recorded in 2023, reflecting a slight decrease from 2022 when 26,183 births were registered.
