Officers in viral video discharged, imprisoned

BAGHDAD, Jan. 22 – A source from the Iraqi Ministry of Defence confirmed on Monday that the officers appearing in a viral video circulating on social media have been handed down a one-year prison sentence and removed from their posts.

Speaking 964media, the military source said, “The officers who appeared in the circulated video on social media that has insulted the Iraqi army have been sentenced to one year in prison and discharged from the army.”
