Projects valued over $2.6 billion
Sulaymaniyah development projects generated 19,000 jobs in 2023: investment head
SULAYMANIYAH, January 22Last year, the Sulaymaniyah Investment Authority granted permits to 54 projects, generating 19,000 job opportunities, as informed by the Director of Sulaymaniyah Investment.
According to the statistics from the Directorate, the total investment of these projects amounted to $2.603 billion.
Aziz Saeed, the Director of Sulaymaniyah Investment, in a press conference on Sunday, 21 January 2024, stated, “The projects in Sulaymaniyah are very modern and are being developed with high quality, which is the basis for granting them licenses.”
He highlighted, “Sulaymaniyah leads in several investment fields. For instance, the Sulaymaniyah Dairy Factory supplies products to 18 provinces of Iraq and is the top in the country.”
Regarding the housing project for renters, the Director of Sulaymaniyah Investment mentioned, “The investor is ready, and the land has been allocated. We aim to implement the project in the best way to serve the citizens.”
He also noted that Sulaymaniyah Investment’s scope is expanding towards Arabat and Pirmam regions.
