Fire breaks out in Basra’s New Mishraq district

BASRA, January 18 – A fire broke out in the New Mishraq area of Basra on Thursday, sending flames across shops and storehouses containing construction and electrical materials.

A 964media correspondent on the scene said the fire erupted in five shops and two storehouses. A total of 15 civil defense teams rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames and prevent their spread to adjacent stores. Civil defense teams are continuing to battle the fire, and according to initial information, there are no human casualties.
